Art has been part of Elliott's life, from his earliest memories. He found that artmaking provided access to altered states of consciousness; it felt deeply empowering. Art was a crucial part of building his capacity to live with purpose and choice, despite the intergenerational trauma, sexual abuse, family violence and relentless racism he experienced. See less
