Dave "Pops" Masch

Dave "Pops" Masch was born in Detroit, Michigan, and came to Massachusetts in 1955 to attend Harvard College. That's when he first saw the ocean, and he has not yet recovered yet. He worked in the biology department at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution for 10 years, and spent 29 years as a counselor, cook, instructor and "professional father figure" at the Penikese Island School. Since retiring three years ago, he reads, writes, cooks, eats, tells lies and some truths, and fishes.
