Pete Davie was born in Anfield, Liverpool, UK. He studied modern languages (French and Spanish) at Sheffield Hallam University and gained his degree in the early 1980's. He put his language skills to use securing employment with a French company in the International Courier industry. Pete Davie was born in Anfield, Liverpool, UK. He studied modern languages (French and Spanish) at Sheffield Hallam University and gained his degree in the early 1980's. He put his language skills to use securing employment with a French company in the International Courier industry. After a subsequent 12 month sojourn in New York as Operations Manager, he gained a European management role based in Brussels. Pete then returned to London (in the same role) and then after 8 years in the international courier industry and considerable travel he returned to Merseyside. He worked in the mail industry for a few years and after enrolling on a 'Leap Into Teaching' course at Liverpool University took the opportunity to work with Fun French. Teaching fun French and silly Spanish to young children (2-5 yrs) gave Pete the opportunity to write THE MAGIC NOUNOURS and THE MAGIC BAG OSITOS in 'franglais' and 'spanglish' formats.
