Born in 1952 in Romania, Doina Georgescu grew up surrounded by the traditions and resilience of a vibrant Eastern European culture. In 1987, she made the courageous decision to escape to the United States and obtain political asylum. Three years later, she was joined by her beloved husband, and together they built a meaningful life in their new home. Doina worked alongside her husband in his medical office, contributing not only to his practice but also to the lives of many patients. Their partnership was both personal and professional, woven together with deep love and mutual respect. After her husband's passing, Doina found solace and renewal in artistic expression-pursuits in which her husband had been both proficient and successful. Prior to his passing, he encouraged Doina to take up these hobbies. Today, she channels her creativity into painting and writing-mediums that allow her to reflect on life's journey, explore her inner world, and connect with others. Her work beautifully bridges the old with the new, carrying echoes of Romania while embracing the present with clarity and heart. With every brushstroke and page, Doina continues to shape a legacy rooted in love, courage, and artistic spirit. See less
