Foster Bailey (1888-1977). Born in Massachusetts during the famous blizzard of 1888, he was all his life a rebel, unconventional, a non-conformist and a true disciple in the purest human and hierarchical way. In her "Unfinished Autobiography", Alice Bailey writes at some length of the part Foster played in her life and work and of her abiding gratitude and appreciation. They met in 1919 and worked together for 30 years. At her death, Foster had to assume the major responsibility for making sure that the Alice Bailey books were kept in circulation and that the service activities generated through Lucis Trust continued. Foster's overriding wish during his life was "to be useful" and this he fulfilled right to the time of his death. See less
