For over 15 years, Harriet Yoder has worked on small business websites. Her experience is with WordPress, Genesis Themes, SEO, e-commerce, page speed, HTML, and CSS. Harriet loves WordPress and the Genesis Framework because you can do 95% of the website upkeep and content creation yourself. Yes, you can! With her husband, Harriet owns Lamp Post Homeschool, a curriculum store established in 1997 as a brick and mortar small business. They added an online presence and e-commerce website a few years later. Three years ago, Harriet reformatted over 800 web pages after they made the change to WordPress. She's in charge of creating new content, keeping it updated, installing WordPress plugins to make life easier, and troubleshooting any site problems that may arise. Harriet and her husband have nine grown children, four sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law, and many grandchildren! They homeschooled their children through high school. Since her "retirement" after the youngest graduated, she has more time to do the things she's passionate about writing, drawing with pen and ink, painting watercolors, sewing, and setting up and consulting for WordPress websites for new and established small businesses.
