JOHN ROBERT ARNONE IS A LIFELONG Beatles fan. After earning a BA in Journalism from Ryerson University, Arnone worked as a reporter and editor in Saskatchewan and Ontario and was awarded the prestigious AJAC Journalist of the Year Award. In 1988, he launched a 30-year career as a communicator in the corporate automotive and commercial aviation spaces in Canada and The United States, appearing in many high-profile media stories. Well travelled, Arnone spends winters in southern Europe. He enjoys languages, public speaking, paddle boarding, hockey and guitar. Over the course of 18 months, ending in December 2023, he painstakingly hand-built and painted a darn close replica of "Rocky," George Harrison's psychedelic Fender Stratocaster, played on many Beatles classics like "Nowhere Man," "I am the Walrus" and on stage during his only tour through Canada in 1974. These days Arnone divides his time between Etobicoke and Victoria Harbour, Ontario. Located along the edges of Georgian Bay in a place older than Canada itself, Victoria Harbour provides some of Ontario's most beautiful sunsets and lies amidst the traditional lands of many, including Huron-Wendat people.
