Kathleen Trace is a Crystal Apple Award winning educator currently teaching in Virginia. She graduated magna cum laude from The College of William and Mary with a double major in English and Psychology. Kathleen Trace is a Crystal Apple Award winning educator currently teaching in Virginia. She graduated magna cum laude from The College of William and Mary with a double major in English and Psychology. She received a Master's Degree in Secondary English Education from The University of Virginia's Curry School of Education. She has taught the following: English 9, 10, 11, and 12 (on academic, collaborative, and honors levels); Dual Enrollment English; Mass Communications, Yearbook, Newspaper, and Communications Technology. Kathleen has experience in five different school systems, four in Virginia and one in Maryland. In 2005 Kathleen received the Mary Alice Gunter & Edgar J. Gunter Scholarship for Innovative Use of Technology in Education from the Curry School of Education. She was a Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund Scholarship Recipient and spent a month in Japan studying their education system. She has had numerous articles published in The Virginia Pilot Newspaper and received the People's Choice Award for her short story "I'll Water the Garden" published in Storyteller Magazine. See less
