Lassaad Sbita was born in Hammam Lif, Tunisia, in 1962. He received the B.E. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tunis, Tunis, Tunisia, in 1985, and the D.E.A. and Thesis degrees in electrical engineering from the École nationale supérieure d'ingénieurs de Tunis, Tunis, in 1987 and 1997, respectively.
