Michael Thorn originally hails from New Windsor, NY and spent most of his life living in the Hudson Valley. He graduated in 2000 from Rutgers University with a BA in English and a focus on Creative Writing. In 2008 he graduated from Manhattan College with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Michael Thorn originally hails from New Windsor, NY and spent most of his life living in the Hudson Valley. He graduated in 2000 from Rutgers University with a BA in English and a focus on Creative Writing. In 2008 he graduated from Manhattan College with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Michael has been writing since childhood starting with sci-fi adventure scripts on his father's old IBM computer. His writing continued throughout his school career as a hobby until 2009 when he participated with his friends in National Novel Writing Month. The competition gave Michael the boost he needed to get serious about his writing, and he spent the next 4 years honing his craft leading up to his first published novel in 2013. Michael is an avid gamer and lover of books, film, and television. His favorite genres are Fantasy, Sword & Sorcery, Horror, German Expressionism, and Planetary Romance. Michael currently lives in Yonkers with his Golden Chow, Sunder, and works full time as the Quality Manager for a local manufacturing company. See less
