Norman Ellis
Norman Ellis was born and raised in Outwood, near Wakefield. He was educated at the village's Ledger Lane Council School and Rothwell Grammar School. He worked for three years in Wakefield as an engineering draughtsman, before obtaining a similar post at an Ossett firm where he stayed for thirty-nine years.
