Norman Phillips
Norman Phillips was raised by his illiterate, Polish grandparents. He enlisted in the Army Aircorps, became a pilot and was a decorated fighter pilot in WW-II. He was a parachutist and mountain climber. During the Viet Nam war, his F-105 was shot down in Laos in 1968. After a high-speed ejection, and a hair-raising rescue, retired and went to college.
