Pierre Lafontaine was born in Montreal and was car crazy from the moment he saw one. First it was Corgis, Dinky Toys, and then Hot Wheels. He still has his Hot Wheels collection on display. After attending community college and graduating as a mechanical engineering technologist/industrial specialist, he realized he wanted to build racing engines, so he started working as an automotive machinist. After acquiring his certificate of qualification, he worked as professional engine builder. At his peak, he would build 50 engines a year. He started a company called Air Inlet Systems in 1992, which designs, manufactures, and sells the RAM AIR BOX. This book is his third on the small-block Chevrolet. See less
