Ronagh McQuigg obtained a LL.B. with First Class Honours in 2002 and a LL.M. in Human Rights Law with Distinction in 2003, both from Queen's University Belfast. Ronagh McQuigg obtained a LL.B. with First Class Honours in 2002 and a LL.M. in Human Rights Law with Distinction in 2003, both from Queen's University Belfast. She was awarded a PhD in 2006, also by Queen's University. Her PhD thesis assessed the effectiveness of international human rights law through a case study of domestic violence. Ronagh qualified as a solicitor in 2008, after being awarded a Certificate in Professional Legal Studies from Queen's University and having completed her professional training with a leading commercial law firm. She joined the School of Law, Queen's University Belfast, as a lecturer in 2009. Ronagh has taught Equity, Land Law, Contract, Torts, European Law, Evidence, Constitutional Law and Gender and the Law to students on the LL.B. programme. She has taught Equity and Land Law to students on the MLegSc programme, and Equality Law and the Rights of Women to students on the LL.M. in Human Rights Law programme. In addition, she teaches on the Equity and Trusts module which forms part of the J.D. programme. Ronagh is a member of the Society of Legal Scholars, the Socio-Legal Studies Association, the Irish Association of Law Teachers, the Irish Society of Comparative Law and the Law Society of Northern Ireland.
