In 2018, he authored the compelling book "It Made A Difference To This One," a poignant narrative about an NGO that has transformed the lives of more than 20,000 children affected by AIDS in China, capturing the essence of social responsibility. Russ's expertise extends to venture capitalism as well. He holds the position of Venture Partner, Impact Initiatives, at Quest Ventures, a leading venture fund that supports technology companies with the potential for scalability and replicability in vast internet communities. Prior to his current ventures, Russ held the significant role of global lead for diversity and inclusion at Flex, a renowned solution provider that designs and manufactures products for intelligent living. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in conceptualizing and implementing programs that benefited both the company and society at large. His unwavering dedication to social good led to a remarkable increase in the hiring of persons with disabilities from a mere 5 to an impressive 350 in Zhuhai, China. Before joining Flex, Russ held a position at the Ministry of Education in Singapore.
