Ruth Helen Yopp, Ph.D. , conducts research and writes about literacy, early learning, and classroom instruction. Ruth Helen Yopp, Ph.D. , conducts research and writes about literacy, early learning, and classroom instruction. She teaches literacy development at California State University, Fullerton, and collaborates with campus and PreK-12 partners to create equitable and culturally responsive learning environments for all students. Ruth is a frequent presenter at professional conferences. She is an award-winning CSU faculty member and, prior to working at the university, she taught elementary school where she also received awards for her work with students and communities. Ruth is an inductee into the California Reading Hall of Fame in recognition of her contributions to literacy.
