Shirley Todd was born in Sydney, Australia and later moved to New Zealand where she still resides. She discovered at an early age, she had an ability to draw and also found she enjoyed writing poetry. Having a husband and four children kept her very busy. Shirley Todd was born in Sydney, Australia and later moved to New Zealand where she still resides. She discovered at an early age, she had an ability to draw and also found she enjoyed writing poetry. Having a husband and four children kept her very busy. In later years she taught crafts and embroidery to ladies at schools, community centers and shops. Over the years, she continued to draw different characters which have been merged into her book. One of her sons, a graphics designer, has patiently taught her to use computer drawing programs, so she slowly saw her characters come to life on the computer screen. A lot of enjoyable time, mixed with love, has gone into her illustrations which she hopes will reflect out and give enjoyment to all who read her book. See less
