For five years he has hosted the British Academy (BAFTA) Film Awards. As a writer he has written four bestselling novels and three books of non-fiction which between them have been translated into over a dozen languages. He is the Voice of the Guide in the Disney Spyglass production of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and is well known to a generation of young Britons as the reader of J.K.
