Terry Rudnick grew up fishing the lakes, streams, and ponds within bicycling range of his home in Washington's Puget Sound Basin. He's never found a good reason to live anywhere else in the world. Although Terry has fished throughout the western United States and Canada, the angling opportunities available in the Evergreen State always bring him back to the waters he's known for more than 50 years. Since selling his first magazine article in 1971, Terry has shared his fishing knowledge in hundreds of feature articles and news stories published in national and regional publications. He has earned numerous writing and photography awards along the way, including the National Conservationist of the Year Communications Award from Trout Unlimited. An enthusiastic and energetic speaker, Terry gives seminars and workshops on a wide variety of fishing topics for sports organizations and consumer shows throughout the Pacific Northwest. From 2002 until 2011, he also shared his knowledge and love of angling with tens of thousands of kids in his role as youth sport fishing coordinator for Washington's Department of Fish and Wildlife. When he's not writing, speaking, or teaching, Terry can be found fishing near his home on the shores of southern Puget Sound, which he shares with his wife, Roberta, Labrador retriever, Haley, and German shepherd, Brandy.
