I've been an avid reader of military history, particularly WWII and the US Civil War, for decades. Off the main track books covering topics like kids perceptions of the war, prisoners held by the allies, women hiding in the ranks, and others have caught my eye in recent years which is why I bought this book. It is a well researched book complete with references, however the correlations the author makes appear to vary from practical to improbable from a non-economists opinion based on what I've read about WWII over the decades. If you understand economics you would be in a better position to understand and review this book.
