This text is aimed at the designer or photographer who is working creatively with black and white prints and has a 2-colour specification. It shows 42 specially chosen ink colours in over 400 permutations, which gives the designer a spectrum of the colours availible on the proprietary ink systems. In combination with the acetate sheets at the back, a further 250 effects are shown and in an extra section, it demonstrates to the designer who is working within the 4 colour process system, another 150 options of how they can enliven the black and white prints that they are using. It includes over 550 printed duotone, tritone and quadtone effects and is printed with propriety inks giving the actual duotone colours, rather than a simulation of the effect. It has technical specifications with each halftone for ease of reference and colour mark up, either traditionally or for DTP origination and shows actual printed results so the reader is not matching to screen colours.
