Thought provoking sci fi
This story really makes you wonder about government actions and what their intent is all about.

Scary
A disturbing world of 1999. In this eerie version of the future the world is overcrowded to the point where the police have lost control of the city. The citizens are seen as animals and our treated as such. People are fed up with their life style, they want a change. Though Soylent Green is based on this book, the story is different in many ways. The character of Shirl being vain and spoiled. Ofcourse she made herliving being "furniture" so she become used to a certain life style. This cautionary tale of the dangers of over population is great for book clubs since it encourages debates.
