This is the sequel to The Eight, written some twenty years ago, leaving its many fans in withdrawal after its page-turning intensity and excitement. Katherine Norris has at last acceded to the cries for "More!" from us, and has presented The Fire, set in the present, and featuring Cat's daughter, who is also drawn into The Game. This book might even be better than The Eight; it's as least as good. It's another gripping read with great characters, and all the thrills anyone could want.
