This book deals with the early stages of the internet and the considerable amount of hacking that went on at that time. (I'm not sure it's any less now!) If you look at shows like SNEAKERS with Robert Redford you'll understand the time frame and the mindset of those times.
Overall this was a very good read, typical Deaver.
Crime, computers, and even a glossary of terms used then. It will hold your attention.
