He helped capture and shape the band's hard rock party image on and off stage. Their videos were all over MTV. This was one photogenic band. "Van Halen" has sold 56 million records in the U.S. - 75 million albums worldwide. All eleven of their albums have broken Billboard top 20, four of them ( including 1978's "VAN HALEN" and 1984's ...1984) have hit number one. They are among the top 20 best-selling artists of all time and were inducted into the rock and roll Hall of Fame in 2007.
