Using detailed descriptions of a majority of the Hellenistic cities in Asia Minor which have remained in a state of preservation because of their inaccessibility and isolation, the author provides a critical analysis of each. The text is accompanied by many rare images taken by the renowned Turkish photographer Ersin Alok, as well as survey drawings of the cities discussed, which are presented here for the first time.
