The book details a wide variety of case studies from across Asia, Africa and the Americas, such as deforestation activism in Cambodia and grassroots community organisation against large scale land transactions in Liberia - among many others. The contributors, composed of a mix of academics and activists, propose bottom-up solutions to the current ecological and climate crises.
