I wish I could read "Layla and Majnun" in the original language and poetic form! This translation may be close to the original [I wouldn't know], but I found the effusive reduncancy boring within the first 50 pages. I wanted to be inspired. I wanted to understand the music YoYo Ma and Silkroad have been commissioned to create based on this story.
