MARSHALL THOMPSON is a native and lifelong resident of Durham, North Carolina. He is a graduate of Hillside High School, Durham Technical Institute, and North Carolina Central University. He served in the United States Marine Corps for four years, and was on the Durham Police Department for nearly twenty years.
