Who Doesn't Like a Good Mystery/Thriller?

     Who doesn't like a good mystery? Who doesn't like to immerse themselves into following an unexpected or unexplained situation from its origin to its conclusion?
     It was in the 1800s that the mystery first became popular, beginning with Edgar Allen Poe's The Murders in the Rue Morgue, which is considered by most as the first modern "detective story." After approximately twenty years the first mystery novel -- Wilkie Collins's The Woman in White (1859) -- was published, followed in 1868 by Collins's The Moonstone.
     Mystery, Suspense, and Thrillers are possibly the best-selling fiction genres on today’s market. There are many sub-genres of the Mystery/Suspense/Thriller and the popularity of the different sub-genres are in a constant state of change, and many books will fall into more than one sub-genre.
