How does a left-wing satire from the 1960s become a "bible" to today's Radical Right? Recently resurfacing into polite society by way of a front-page story in The Wall Street Journal, this book makes a chillingly convincing claim to be a sinister government document on the dangerous effects of "permanent peace" on society and the economy. Brilliantly rendered in the vein of Dr. Strangelove, this reports proves frighteningly prescient of our current social and economic dysfunction. Author publicty.

I read about this report in "The Creature From Jekyll Island", so I ordered it to see if it was true. It is.

Report Iron Mountain
The Report from Iron Mountain answers lots of questions with regards to why many adverse events have unfolded as they have. War trumps Peace in Social Planning. Under the guise of Social Cohesion and Stability, outside threats are fabricated when they're absent. It's all here in this small, seemingly benign book.

Fascinating!
Just as fascinating as it was when I read it the first time some forty years ago! The more things change the more they stay the same!
