Ann Stalcup is an author and elementary school teacher. She grew up in England and moved to the United States in 1963. She is married to a Texan and lives with him in Malibu, California, where, as retirees, she writes and he paints. She is the author of fourteen books. Her first, On the Home Front: Growing Up in Wartime England, is an autobiographical account of her childhood experiences during World War ll. She loves to travel, and as teachers, she and her husband have spent their long summer vacations visiting over 150 countries. Her numerous published magazine articles (mostly for Cobblestone's Faces Magazine), and many of her books, are inspired by trips she has taken. A recent publication, Leo Politi, Artist of the Angels, is a biography of a Los Angeles artist and author whom she admired for many years. It is the book of which she is most proud. Her most recent publication is a bilingual picture book. See less
