I am using this book for an PHY 107, Earth Science for non science majors online. This book does help in understanding the material. However, the material could be better written and explain some parts better than others. I don't really get a full understanding of the material by reading the book and have to look other places to fully learn it.

Easy Earth Science
This is a good earth science starting textbook. Interactive CD that came with it was outstanding. A 6th grader used it to prepare for mineralogy test and it really helped. I recommend it and I am a chemistry teacher.

Good for any level
This is an excellent teaching book. It offer significant detail while keeping the text interesting. Using it for a basic Earth Science class and the students are getting a lot from this book.
