This 2nd book doesn't get boring, like alot of series tend to do. There aren't too many characters, not too much politics and feels real. Doesn't just romanticize the situation - it talks about how cold and miserable it is in the winter and how hot and sweaty it is in the summer; how hard people have to work just to survive and how most everyone appreciates what they DO have; maybe if more people read this series they would realize how very easy our lives are right now, with all the conveniences we all have. Even all of us "poor" people have life easy in comparison to what it could be like!

Awesome Book
Unlike most books, this one actually ended the series with you knowing the outcome of all the main characters. He did leave it open for another series. A truly good book that is very easy to read and follow the story line.
