Then, to cap it all, in his late teens he had an encounter with an old hooded monk who was searching the carriages for him on a night train, and told him he had important things to do when older, which he later understood was to write this book. When the train stopped at my station, he and the monk parted with a hand shake that forever changed the authors life. Altogether opening up a channel to information that has drip fed into his head for the last forty years, and all for the purpose of writing this book.
